A beautiful beginning: Georgia Evelynn’s birth story

Getting pregnant is usually the complicated issue with most moms. For Becki it’s more of the part of trying not to die once pregnant. Poor girl has a miserable time but thankfully has a hero of a husband who does all.the.things for her and Lewis. The topic of repeat Cesearen or trying a VBAC was a daily struggle for her because Lewis had a ROUGH start. She pushed him for hours leading to being stuck; emergency C; stunned baby needing resuscitation; PTSD for all the people. However, as Becki said, “casually walking in and being cut open” feels so dreadful. She wanted to try and that she did. She cancelled her scheduled C to ironically go into labor on her own that night. We were all there before 6a for her to be complete then get her epidural to push more comfortably. Thus leading to ding ding ding! STUCK transverse baby…again. NEAT, GUYS! UGH. This time the baby came out crying and all was well in the world again. Lewis was so excited about his “ladybug” sister to be out of mama’s belly! Her whole fam was there to greet little miss Georgia Jean. She was bigger in both height and weight than her brother at 7.13lbs and 20.5in. However, she is an exact replica of his face! None of us could even handle the resemblance! Fun times ahead for you all! Congrats times a million!

Love, Melanie
